Membership

As a member of the HBASET, Texas Association of Builders (TAB) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) you are entitled to receive the benefits of programs and services that are not available to the general public. Many of these programs are discounted or enhanced for members. The Home Builders Association of Southeast Texas supports your interests in local and county affairs; TAB advocates for you at the state level; and, NAHB works for you in Washington, D.C. Each of the three associations offers its own member programs and services.

Joining the association at the local level automatically makes you a member of the Texas Association of Builders (TAB) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). The Home Builders Association of Southeast Texas represents approximately 60 associate members and approximately 40 builder members. HBASET has a staff of two, so call the office at (409) 899-1001 to find out more about activities and how you can take that next step and become involved. In time, you will see results!

Membership dues for builders and associates is $600 per year and $90 for affiliates. Affiliate memberships refers to member companies who would like to have additional memberships.

The Texas Association of Builders is a 10,000 member professional and trade association representing the residential construction industry and is the official voice of the home building industry in Texas.

As the recognized and respected trade association that represents 400,000 million jobs and $22 billion of the Texas economy, TAB plays a major role in the legislative, regulatory and public arenas.

TAB is dedicated to creating a positive business environment for the housing industry by addressing the housing issues of the people of Texas. Working with its local associations, TAB enhances your ability to provide jobs and housing for Texas families.

Texas has 28 local Home Builders Associations (HBA) or Building Industry Associations (BIA) that are affiliated with the Texas Association of Builders and the National Association of Home Builders.

To become a member of NAHB, you must join the local home builders association (HBA) serving your area. When you join your local association, you automatically become a member of all three levels of the NAHB federation: local, state and national. That’s three memberships for the price of one!
